A CPS test for computers you do not control
Many people meet a CPS test on a machine they did not set up: a Chromebook from school, a library computer or a family laptop. Those machines often block installs, so a test that lives inside the web page is the practical choice. This one needs only a modern browser. There is no download, no plugin and no account.
Chromebook is a brand name. This site is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.
Networks and rules
Unblocked here means no install, not guaranteed access. Every school and workplace decides what its network allows, and this site cannot promise that the page will load on any of them. It will not suggest ways around a filter either. Follow your school or workplace rules. If the test is not available, run it on your own connection at home.
Clicking on a Chromebook trackpad
Many Chromebooks are used without a mouse. The test counts trackpad presses and taps as clicks, but a trackpad feels very different from a mouse button. A physical press needs more force and travel, while tap to click can be faster but less consistent. Pick one method and use it every time. If you can plug in a mouse, do, and keep those scores apart from your trackpad runs.
Where your history lives
The Your scores panel shows your best, average, attempts and a trend chart. All of it is stored in the current browser on the current device. Nothing is sent to an account. That has a few effects worth knowing:
| Situation | What happens to your scores |
|---|---|
| Same browser, same profile | History is there next time |
| Different browser or device | Starts empty |
| Guest or private window | Usually gone when the window closes |
| Browsing data cleared | History is removed |
| Shared profile | Others see the same history |
On a shared machine, the best habit is to write down your best and average after each session. Then a reset costs you nothing.
Keep sessions short
Five seconds per run means you can do a handful of tries in a minute and stop. Stop at once if your hand or wrist aches.
For a version written around quick breaks, see click speed test unblocked. If your school device is a tablet, the mobile CPS test page covers tapping. The full guide is on the CPS test page.
